CT Calcium Score Heart Scan
Take Charge of Your Health: Get Checked for Your Heart!
Your heart is the rhythm of your life, and it deserves the best care. Guard your heart well. It will go a long way with you.
A CT Calcium Score heart scan is a specialised imaging test that measures the amount of calcified plaque in the coronary arteries of the heart. This scan provides information about the presence of atherosclerosis, a condition characterised by the build-up of plaque (a combination of fat, calcium, and other substances) on the walls of the arteries.
This scan is specifically designed to examine plaque build-up. While other scans may look into the other concerns of the heart e.g., blood flow, detecting blockages, or overall structure of the heart and its vessels.
If you or your family has history of heart conditions, it is recommended that you have thorough heart check-ups regularly.
